    Description

Antique Foley China Commemorative 1904 Birth Mug for Clan Mackenzie Scion
As the mug states, Roderick was born on October 24, 1904. Called Viscount Tarbat from birth, Roderick was the eldest son of Lady Sibell Lilian Mackenzie and Lt.-Col. Edward Walter Blunt. Fans of the multi-season show Outlander will treasure this souvenir of the Mackenzie clan, for whom Roderick was recognized as chief in 1979 (his great-grandmother was the great-great-granddaughter of George Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Cromartie, who took part in the Jacobite rising of 1745) [these facts from military-history.fandom]. Produced by the Foley China company.
Condition: A fine crack runs from the greyhound’s tail to the top of the mug. The gilding on the top rim is mostly gone and on the handle is slightly worn off.
    Measurements: 3 3/16” top diameter, 3 1/16” bottom diameter, 3 ¼” tall.
